The Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management (JREPM) is pleased to announce a call for papers in association with the European Real Estate Society Meeting (ERES) 2023 on the topic of Real Estate Investment and Finance. ERES annual meeting will be held at the University of College London (UCL), London, the United Kingdom, on July 12-15, 2023.

Paper Topics:

With international geopolitical issues and market volatility, coupled with high inflation and interest rates, the real estate industry faces many challenges. It requires novel approaches to ensure its continued success. This special issue seeks to foster high-quality scholarship that sheds light on real estate investment and finance. The editors welcome papers that explore innovative solutions to the challenges facing the commercial real estate industry.

Papers may deal with, but are not limited to, the following topics:

• European property market dynamics

• EU Taxonomy and asset management 

• ESG and impact investing in real estate

• Listed real estate firms

• Market reactions to shocks include climate risks, geopolitical issues, inflation, rising interest rates, etc.

• Digitalization and innovation in the property market

• The mortgage market, bank lending on real estate, and securitization

• Work from Home and its impacts on urban structure and real estate

• Real estate private equity funds

• Machine learning and big data in the real estate market

You are encouraged to submit to the special issue/collection. These submissions will go through a simplified submission and an expedited review process. Specifically, no submission fee will be required; no need to become an ARES member.
